I gave these Pyrex bowls with lids to my daughter-in-law for Christmas after noticing she didn't have mixing bowls. She often takes salads to block parties, so I wanted something attractive and with lids. She uses them regularly. They were exactly as advertised and arrived in a timely fashion.

I use these in the frig, microwave and dishwasher. I like that they are functional and pretty, so I can mix, cook or serve with them. They are pretty enough for taking to a potluck too.

I've had two of the 3 cup bowls for several years now, along with the matching covered "bread pan". I use them all the time and absolutely love them and they still look like new. Thrilled to see the larger bowls are still available - I'm going to buy two sets while I can (1 for me and one for a gift). Wondering why they would discontinue these -altho the price might seem high if you're not aware of the quality.

I just received these bowls so I haven't had a chance to use them. However, I just saw this on our local news

Pyrex is being investigated for the safety of their products. I have old Pyrex baking dishes and they have never "exploded" as described in the article above. I would think twice before ordering any other Pyrex products.
