"Works as you'd expect, doesn't fit my sink though" 2010-03-07
By Edward P. Mcnamara (Chicago)
It is just as advertised, but it's a little short for my sink, so I have to use it over the sink from front to back.

 "Excellent Product" 2010-02-10
By S. Barb (Dundee, MI United States)
This product helps keep the mess of veggie prep off of my counters. Works as advertised

"Works for what I need it to." 2009-11-30
By Jade
I have not had any issues with this product. It works for exactly what I need it to. It grips well, however, my sink is uneven so it probably does not work as well as it would otherwise. My own complaint about this product is that it is too big for my dishwasher. The pop-up strainer is great as well.

"Dont buy from them! Save you money!" 2008-12-31
By customer in Ca
I am very upset that they made a mistake on my order and when I called them, they refused to fix it. It's a sad thing that they did not care and it's funny that they claim "complete customer satisfaction" yet DO NOT STAND BY THAT!!! I hope this at least saves someone from going through what I went through, wasting money. Shame!!!!!

 "The Absolute BEST Containers!" 2010-02-08
By Sue (South Carolina)
I am SO completely hooked on Lock & Lock containers. Fruit and veggies seem to last forever. I have stored strawberries for weeks without them molding or going bad. Leftovers stay fresh longer. Foods don't dry out or get moldy. I find way fewer "science experiments" in the back of the refrigerator! ;o) Pasta, rice, cereals, crackers and cookies just don't get stale. The containers don't stain and stack really well in the pantry or fridge. (For best results, don't forget to press hard on the center of the lid to create some vacuum before snapping the last lock closed.)

 "great!" 2010-03-10
By Laura (Florida)
I love these bowls! I got them as a gift for a housewarming party and they are prettier than I expected. Not sure why everyone is complaining about them not being microwaveable (I have metal mixing bowls at my house and they are not microwaveable so I figured who would miss that?). The amazon price is exactly what you will find elsewhere. I guess if you are an avid chef/baker you would want something more sturdy... but for the average cook, these look like they will hold up fine. And they are prettier than other sets out there.

 "Can't live without it!" 2010-03-02
By Juli Barkley (San Francisco)
This is a genius stacking product that gives you everything you need in a kitchen, from measuring cups to mixing bowls and strainers. It is also so lightweight that it is so much more enjoyable to use than the other items that this replaces. This would be a great gift for someone just starting out a kitchen (like a college student), but I consider myself an advanced cook and I use this instead of all of the other individual pieces I have in my kitchen.

"looks good but not practical" 2010-01-12
By Pen (Japan)
I was given this attractive set and I really love the concept. It contains everything I need for cooking - small and large mixing bowls (the smaller one also has measuring marks) 2 kinds of strainers and a set of measuring cups. Because space is very limited in our house I love the way they stack up. However, the first thing my husband did was to strain pasta through the nylon sieve and so it shrank meaning that nothing stacked up nicely any more. Because I need the bigger items far more often then the measuring cups, the cups just ended up getting in the way. I would have loved the option of hanging them but the smallest cup does not have a loop in the handle like the other cups do. I ended up putting them in the toy box.

The other thing that really bothers me is that none of it is microwavable.

I think it is a very beautiful looking set but I wish they had put a little more thought into the functional aspect.

 "Even cooler in person" 2009-12-27
By J. Houser (Baltimore)
I have been coveting these for months. Santa surprised me with these snappy nesting bowls and I am indeed smitten. Great idea for small kitchens, fantastic idea for design freaks.

 "All style, no substance" 2009-10-31
By claudia_yvr (Vancouver, BC)
From reading the reviews, I knew that the sieve would be flimsy but the rest of the set was supposed to be dishwasher-safe. I put the small green bowl in the top rack of my dishwasher but the colander only fit in the bottom rack; the bowl is fine, but the colander is now noticeably warped on one side. (Incidentally, I have a set of nesting bowls I bought from Ikea a decade ago and they still look great, despite having gone through the dishwasher countless times. And they only cost a tenth of this set.)

The other issue is one I didn't discover until I tried using the measuring cups for the first time. When I'm baking, I like to run a knife across the top of the measuring cup to make sure I'm measuring ingredients as precisely as possible. That's only doable with the smallest measuring cups because the others are countersunk, so that the handles allow them to nest properly in the set.

The set looked gorgeous when I first took it out of the box, but it turned out to be a real disappointment. Unfortunately, it isn't possible to give less than one star otherwise I'd give it zero. As far as I'm concerned, this was a complete and utter waste of money.

 "Great containers" 2010-01-30
By Madam Woof (Hellertown, Pa)
I first purchased Lock & Lock at a local Wegman's. I ended up needing to find more because my dog chewed on some of them. I didn't even bother looking at other manufacturers and went straight for Lock & Lock - tight seal, sturdy plastic, easy to get tops on/off, nice variety of sizes. Overall great purchase.
