Impressive hors d'oeuvres are simple to make with this set of tin canapé molds from Norpro. The kit includes three bread molds, one each of the following shapes: star, heart, and flower. The molds bake long loaves that can be thinly sliced and topped with various spreads or made into tiny sandwiches. Unlike the conventional canapé-making method, in which you stamp slices of bread with cookie cutters, these practical tins won't leave you with a stack of leftover crusts. Hand washing is recommended.

"A surprisingly awesome little gadget." 2009-11-30
By Margaret A. Brooks
I just tried a flower-shaped bread tube this weekend with homemade butter roll dough, and it worked wonderfully! If you are a baker or have a friend who is, this is quite a neat idea. My fear was that the pan would not release the bread, but the shaped loaf positively Fell Out! I plan to try a variety of things including making seasoned croutons for a unexpected, special touch for salads.

After spraying the interior with cooking spray, the dough is put into the tube and allowed to rise. The lid is then added and the tube is baked in the oven with the perforated top pointed upward. Easy as pie- nothing to it! The included instructions suggest using them as cutters as well as a baking form.
