1. The largest bowl was broken when the package reach me.

2. In the picture, the bowls look big. Lesson: It will be good to first look at bowls with similar dimensions in real life before buying online.

The following is the complaint that I sent to Anchor Hocking regarding their product.



My husband bought me three of your glass pans for Christmas 2009 in Woodburn, Oregon at one of the factory stores in the outlet mall. I've been using Pyrex brand glass dishes previous to this. I've used the dishes a few times for different meals and brownies with no issues, until last night. I put chicken breasts into one of the Anchor Hocking glass pans, the rectangle one about 7"x10" (approx), and put it into the oven set at 375 degrees. After 8 minutes, there was a loud explosion and my husband and I went rushing back into the kitchen to discover that the glass pan had exploded inside the oven, destroying our dinner and damaging the inside of our oven. There are hundreds of pieces of glass all over, and even after doing my best to clean it all up, I'm still finding shards of glass today, making it dangerous to use the oven. I've looked around online and found the consumer affairs website where it looks like this is a problem that has happened to MANY MANY people using your bakeware. Since this is a known issue, I'd like to know what you plan on doing to make this right. I will be throwing out all of my other pans from your company since I now know that they are not safe. THEY'RE NOT SAFE! I can't believe that you're making a product that is actually DANGEROUS! It's dishes for crying out loud, and they're actually UNSAFE! I've had very good luck with these and use them all the time. The two quart is perfect for the entree casseraole, the 20 oz for the veggie side, and the small one for a sauce or gravy. At first I was dissapointed that the two smaller dishes didn't have a knob on the lid. But then I realized that the flat top allowed you to use the lid as a hotplate for the dish so the lid was always handy.

In fact, I'd buy a half a dozen of the 20 oz ones if I could find them. My only complaint is that I could only find this size as part of a package deal.

Not a good selection. The 12 oz. size is small and basically useless. The 20 oz. size (impossible to find) is fine for all-around use but packing was VERY (and I mean VERY) bad and it was broken. The 2 qt. should be bought basically. Replacement of broken item wasn't offered. "Refund" required shipment back of item(s), but postage cost would cancel refund. All told, this is NOT a good purchase. the 2 pc cookware utensils were a spoon and slotted spoon and nice to have as spares.

Arrived as promised, well packet, loose, not in a box. Glad to find extra lids for my Corningware, since some of the pieces did not come with lids back when I bought them. Would like to find lids for the smaller pieces as well, both glass and plastic. I still have my original lids, so I expect these to last as well.

Well, they do the job, but you can tell that Corning is no longer making their own kitchen ware. I can pick out the new lids in the rack by the faint green cast. I have watched Corning's casserole bases evolve from stove-top safe pyro-ceram to stoneware in which I can no longer cook the vegetables, on the stove top, before serving them and the lids evolve from clear high-grade pyrex to tempered window glass. Sad. I have been an avid Corning Ware fan for 35 years. Maybe it's time to move on.

Just wanted to warn folks that Amazon's dimensions info is incorrect. Do not go by their 10" x 9" description, as this top is considerably smaller. I'm thinking these are the dimensions for the 2-1/2 quart version. Other than that, the top is perfectly fine and it's nice that replacements are available.
